Why isn’t Weekend ‘O Fun included in this countdown??

LOL, is Weekend o’ Fun a requirement for my graduation?

UM, DUH!  It is always a requirement to have a Weekend ‘o Fun before every graduation.

And Cubs Convention doesn’t count?

Entirely separate.  That’s Weekend ‘o Creepin’!

Nothing to do
Nowhere to be
A simple little kind of free
Nothing to do
No one but me
And that’s all I need

I’m perfectly lonely
I’m perfectly lonely
I’m perfectly lonely (Yeah)
‘Cause I don’t belong to anyone
Nobody belongs to me

They’re going to be deploying more troops to Afghanistan from the base one of my very good friends is stationed at.  And I can’t remember what division he’s in.

Excuse me while I go freak out.

He’s being deployed in the spring.

Definitely freaking out now.

Why Georgia by John Mayer

I’ve decided this is pretty much my new theme song.

I didn’t think alcohol went bad.  I put creme de menthe that was at least a decade or two old in my hot chocolate once and it didn’t kill me.

Okay, this is the only time I’ll admit it, but following Kaplan comes in handy.  Unless, of course, they show Zambrano at the game.  Then Kaplan goes back to being useless.

Anyway, that’s pretty cool. I thought he usually took off to South America once the season was over.

This pie chart tells the truth. And I have three fairly important papers due in the next two weeks. Hm.

Now that I’m spending more time on MLBTradeRumors, I’m remembering again what kind of idiots post comments over there.  For instance:

-Maybe the Cubs should look into swapping Lee for Lowe. They could start Hoffpauir at 1B
Okay, first of all, I love Hoffy but he’s no Derrek Lee.  He doesn’t have the power numbers.  He hasn’t had much practice at first over the last couple of seasons so he’s not ready to take on being a full time 1B yet.  Lest we forget that Lee has a full no trade clause.

-Josh Vitters, Geovany Soto and Ryan Dempster for Roy Halladay would be a win-win for both parties (as long as an extension can be reached (4 years 84M would seem in the ballpark)Toronto gets their starting catcher for the next 4-7 years, a quality inning eating starter (who PR it doesn’t hurt happens to be a Canadian)and a spec who is instantly the bet in their system.
So if you swap Dempster for Halladay, you’re still a starter short in terms of quality.  And if you send Soto to Toronto, you’re out your full time starting catcher.  This doesn’t make sense either.

-Lee is a perfect fit for ATL. I’ve always thought so. It seems like the Cubs will have to unload atleast one of those contracts. Ramirez and Lee seem like the 2 that would be easiest.
You know what you also didn’t think of?  LEE HAS A FULL NO TRADE CLAUSE.  And he certainly isn’t going to waive it to go to the Braves.  If you unload Lee and Ramirez, you lose your offense, not to mention a couple of the best corner men that this team has seen in a long time.  Plain and simple.

-Derek Lowe + Nate McLouth + Kelly Johnson for Derrek Lee + Kosuke Fukudome. And Fox could play 1B.
And you know what else?  You’re an idiot.  Fox is a natural outfielder, if that.  He’s more of a DH, actually.  Dude probably belongs in the AL.  You want to replace one of the best first basemen in the NL with Fox?  IDIOT.

posted on 22.11.09 You know why 86 year olds shouldn't be managers?

Because they do things like put the door keys in their pocket when they close the night before and can’t remember that they did it.  And then after you call the other two shift managers to find out if they have the keys and they don’t, you check with the 86 year old again.  He insists he put them back.  You tell him to check his pockets.  He checks one and says he doesn’t have them.  So you tell him to check the other one.  Voila! Keys.

OH, AND DID I MENTION HE MAKES $18 AN HOUR?  YES.  EIGHTEEN.  EIGHT. TEEN.
